Funding

General Assembly appropriations, Environmental License Plate sales and additional donations from patrons like you are the three ways we’ve been able to protect more than 71,200 acres since the program’s inception.

As urban sprawl continues, and Indiana’s natural heritage is less available, our mission to protect land for wildlife and recreation becomes more critical.

That's why it's more important than ever for Hoosiers to buy Environmental License Plates. Without this income, the President Benjamin Harrison Conservation Trust Fund would no longer be able to purchase land for future parks, nature preserves, fishing and hunting areas, and so forth.

For each plate purchase, the President Benjamin Harrison Conservation Trust Fund receives $25. Additionally, each dollar spent on an Environmental License Plate is matched by not-for-profit partners or governmental entities and comes back as a $2.12 for preserving Indiana's natural resources.

Please do your part. Buy an Environmental License Plate, and urge others to follow.
