State Wildlife Action Plan Revisions

The 2015 State Wildlife Action Plan has minor revisions. The plan and appendices are available to view on the report's web page.

State Wildlife Action Plan Review and Revision Guidance

In December 2017 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service approved a process and requirements for states to use in future review and revision of State Wildlife Action Plans. This guidance helps ensure that the plans remain adaptive and consistent. View the guidance (PDF) from the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies website.

Indiana's SWAP Vision

Indiana's State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) will be a national leader in guiding a diverse conservation community towards the shared goal of enhancing and conserving fish and wildlife resources.

Indiana's SWAP Mission

The purpose of Indiana's SWAP is to manage, conserve, and enhance habitat and population stability for diverse fish and wildlife resources. By 2025, the SWAP will be integrated throughout Indiana’s conservation community. The SWAP will serve to bridge the efforts of dedicated natural resource professionals and stewards, which will ultimately enrich the quality of life for all Hoosiers.
