Flu Information

Getting the flu vaccine is the best way to prevent flu. For children younger than 5 years of age and those with chronic health conditions, like asthma and neuro-developmental disorders, getting the flu vaccine is especially important to avoid serious flu complications like pneumonia, which can lead to hospitalization and even death. Please join us in encouraging everyone to get vaccinated. Remember the flu ends with you!

The CDC website describing the focus is National Influenza Vaccination Week. In addition, there is more information at flu.gov and at the CDC's Seasonal Influenza page.

Below are links to brochures that have specifically been developed for parents of typical children and also children with chronic medical conditions, including children with special health care needs. Please distribute and forward these as you feel are appropriate.
