The Indiana State Data Center maintains a collection of all of the statistical data from the Decennial Censuses of Population and Housing from 1790 - 2000. The Census Bureau has also released many other publications over the last 200 years. There are economic data about manufacturing, retail trade, wholesale trade, construction, etc. Agricultural data has been collected for over 150 years. The Census Bureau conducts numerous demographic and economic surveys. While the Data Center has access to the 1990 and 2000 Decennial Censuses online, by CD or DVD and in publications, statistics from previous censuses are almost exclusively in books and on microfilm or microfiche. On rare occasions the historical data can be located on the Internet.
