Tours of the Indiana State Library
Both the building and the collections of the Indiana State Library are well worth seeing. To learn more about the Indiana State Library, select one of the following:
To arrange for your class, organization, department, or group to tour the Indiana State Library, please call the library at 317-232-3675, or our IN-Watts line at 1-866-683-0008. Tours may take place Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or Saturday by appointment only, but must be arranged at least two weeks in advance.
Tours for Family Historians
This is NOT a how-to-research session. Instead, this is your opportunity to have an in-depth tour of the facility's genealogical holdings.
Learn where different family history resources are located on the first and second floors of the Indiana State Library. This is a free orientation tour, geared toward genealogists and family historians. Tours are available by request. Request a tour for as little are two people or a larger group. We can accommodate most request or appointments, to schedule your orientation tour please call 317-232-3689.
