Knobstone Trail conditions

TRAIL CONDITION: GOOD. Anticipate valleys and low areas to be wet due to spring time conditions.

Report adverse trail conditions on the KT to Jackson-Washington State Forest. Be specific with type of hazard and location.

Re-routes

The Knobstone Trail traverses actively managed forest areas and will have periodic temporary reroutes for user safety during management activities. Check the list below for current routing alerts.

Knobstone Trail Map Cover

The Knobstone Trail map shows the general route of the trail and the topography of the area. Minor reroutes are not indicated on the map. In some areas, the trail follows a very narrow corridor of public property. The KT map shows the public property boundaries. Maps can be purchased at the DNR customer service center by calling (317) 232-4200. They can also be purchased near the trail at Clark State Forest, Jackson Washington State Forest, Deam Lake SRA, Starve-Hollow SRA, and Delaney Park. The maps are $10 with shipping but not including tax. Size is 24" x 36" printed in full color on waterproof paper.
