Mountain Biking
In under 20 years, Indiana has grown from hardly any mountain bike trails to becoming a mountain bike destination in the Midwest. Indiana is home to:
- More than 600 miles of natural surface trails open to mountain bikes on public and non-profit land, including hundreds of miles of purpose-built single-track.
- Trail difficulties ranging from easy to extremely difficult.
- A variety of trail experiences that include wide, mellow double-track, fast and flowy as well as tight and technical.
- Premier destinations such as Brown County, an IMBA Bronze-Level Ride Center with Epic Ride, and Griffin Bike Park.
- A thriving mountain bike culture with more riders, clubs, and events each year.

Where to ride
Use the Indiana Trail Finder to locate all of Indiana's natural surface trails that are open to mountain biking. To view them, click off "All Open Trail" and click on "Mountain Bike Trails." Click on trails for more information such as trail manager, surface type and mileage. Not all trails listed under "Mountain Bike Trails" are traditional single-track, however all trails have a surface in which a mountain bike, rather than other styles of bicycles, are recommended. Please also note that nearly all mountain bike trails listed are multi-use trails.
