Community Energy Challenge Grant Program
Status - Closed.
The purpose of this grant is to enhance community resilience with a focus on key infrastructure and access to efficient energy options through diverse energy resources, and upgraded technologies. Grantees can benefit from resiliency improvements in a variety of ways, such as reducing overall energy costs included through decreased maintenance-related activities through the use of a new and more efficient technologies as well as energy audits and resilience planning. By diversifying energy sources, upgrading technology, and reducing energy consumption, grantees may also mitigate their exposure to price volatility. Indiana Public Safety Resilience Grant Program
Status - Closed.
The purpose of this grant is to create energy resilience in critical public safety operations including but not limited to fire, law enforcement, EMS and correctional facilities. Grantees can benefit from resiliency improvements in a variety of ways, such as reducing overall energy costs including decreased maintenance-related costs through the use of new technologies, and cleaner fuel choices. Energy and fuel costs can be significant budget line items for public safety and municipal governments. This program seeks to make improvements that will help to alleviate some economic pressure. Further, since reliable energy is key to maintaining critical public safety operations, initiatives that also enhance resilience and redundancy create additional economic opportunities.
