Important notice regarding changes to the law affecting Appraisal Management Companies:
Effective July 1st, 2019, pursuant to House Enrolled Act 1569 and the federal Appraisal Subcommittee, all Appraisal Management Companies licensed through the state will be placed on an annual renewal cycle.
The Indiana Appraisal Board is in the process of revising its rules to comply with the update to an annual renewal cycle, including revising the registration fee from $500 every two (2) years to $250 per year.
All renewals after July 1st, 2019 and all subsequent issuances and renewals will receive an annual expiration date of August 31st.
Beginning August 31st, 2020: At the time of renewal, the appraisal management company will be required to report the number of real estate appraisers who have performed an appraisal for the appraisal management company in connection with a covered transaction in Indiana during the previous year including name and license number of the real estate appraiser, along with any federally required fee.
