Indiana Breastfeeding Alliance (IBA)
The Indiana Breastfeeding Alliance was formed in 2018 to bring Indiana’s breastfeeding network of advocates and stakeholders together to implement our State Breastfeeding Plan. The initial committee worked with the UNC Chapel Hill MCH WorkForce Development to learn how to build collective impact strategies around breastfeeding. By building collective impact and strong partnerships, IBA is able to effectively impact breastfeeding outcomes, experiences and services throughout Indiana. The committee is currently comprised of multiple partnerships working on different breastfeeding objectives to meet the same goal, which is to ensure all Hoosier moms and babies are able to give or receive human milk for as long as mutually desired.
Mission
To align and improve Indiana breastfeeding efforts by creating equitable access to breastfeeding support and human milk through training, advocacy, and collaboration

All Indiana babies will consume human milk for as long as possible throughout the first year and beyond.
